i'm good at drawing animals and plants but when it comes to drawing a person i can never quite get it right can anyone please help me out?

Practice,practice,practice and study the human form.There are plenty of help books,photos and other things to get the ball rolling on your desire to render the human form accurately.
Remember there are no shortcuts.Tracing a photo is really not the way to go. IMO it can be seen in artwork very quickly. The better way is to just have a command of the subject and what you want to draw or paint.
It takes time so don't get discouraged.Good luck. Z

To make it easier to draw human heads, you can use the PLanes of The Head model. It has all the planes of the head and face for drawing and painting. You can contact me they are available for sale. These are the ORIGINAL planes of the head that were started back in the 70's. They are not plaster any more, they are durable lightweight plastic with a tripod insert in the bottom for ease of angles to match with a human study.
