FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CALL FOR ARTISTS Sal Marino, Founder of the Funist Art Movement has issued a global invitation to all “Funist” artists seeking promotional exposure for their art. Funism, according to Marino is any and all art that is dedicated to and rooted in absolute fun. Breaking from the bounds of traditional understandings and the confines of over intellectualized art, Funism's sole purpose is to make people giggle, regardless of the artists technical capabilities or professional accomplishments, via the arts message. To qualify, artists should be working in a style, which evokes humor, joviality and jest. Comic personalities welcome. A good sense of humor required. Interested participants should include the following keywords to their search engines and biographies to maximize search results and expand exposure potential: “Funism” , “Funist Art” , “Funist Art Movement”, “Funism founder Sal Marino”. This is an opportunity for artists to secure worldwide recognition via inclusion in the Funist Art Movement. Mr. Marino has embarked on an extensive international publicity campaign, promoting the virtues and gratifications of Funist Art. With a determined resolve, Mr. Marino seeks to establish Funism as a valid art form and secure its place in art history. Mr. Marino can be reached for comment via email: salmarino@salmarinoart.com. It's not new, I'm afraid. Diego Vasquez was having fun in the 1960s, as was Yves Klein, Andy Warhol and a whole host of others. Visit the www.Artknows.com website for more on Diego Vasquez's antics. Editor@artknows.com

Yes i have heard about the Funist Movement...... The Funist Movement came from deep within the bowels of the creative spirit of Nigel Earthworm the 2nd in what is now known as Eastern Slobobiea circa 1643.A group of subversive tinsmiths were alarmed about the lack of humor in the old oil on canvas school of M.F.A. shlockmeisters paintings of the royal families of europe. What was anti establishment soon became the established forbearers of the funist or funism movement.Soon the the bowels of art were full of a more rectalesent movement of painting on scraps of sod rendered in mustard and condements from early fast food franchises. In the 21st. century Mr. Marino artfully kept the movement alive from his Stanford on the Ryne Studio.Joined by the Do-Do-ism movement from the western coast of Malltopia it took the world by storm. An ill wind fell over the lean and lear gallery hanger ons,the conceptual yale preppys thru out thier degrees and started to to risks.........etc.etc.etc.

My professor in college always talked about the Funist Movement. He made it sound revolutionary when, in my opinion, it was nothing but a facist ploy against conservatives of the era. But then again I didn't go to class that much and I might have missed the idea somewhere in there. www.smackhouse.comwww.mrhaironline.comThese sites are always useful. You might want to see what they're all about.

Boots Randolph was a FUNIST as was Pinky Lee but Funism reguires a certain amount of cultural litteracy to be understood. # 1 have you seen a Mat Helmes movie ? #2 in what year did Rolling Stone Mag become garbage ? # 3 are you aware that " Do you think I'm Sexy " was first recorded by R.Buckminster Fuller in 1937 ? # 4 Was " Whatsa " the surrealist Matta's first name # 5 Would you like 200 thousand dollar M.F.A. or a clue ?
