Interstitialism is a art movement of a different sort. Interstitialists practice contemplation techniques using objects of visual art that we find in western museums and galleries. These methods, derived from yoga and mysticism, help the viewer achieve a stronger cathartic and aesthetic experience. Interstitialists are involved with teaching these techniques (concentration, visualization and contemplation) and in making special installations: "interstitialist temples" which facilitate entering a pre-contemplative state. Their motto: "Silent contemplation instead of verbose deconstruction". The website is www.interstitialism.comI'd be interested to hear your comments All the best

Hello: In ref to your posting. I invite you to browse www.interstitialism.com website for a description of the movement. We are contemplators, so we search and practive methods for reaching catharsis through visual art. We do not produce art, but we do study and design the environments that can lead to a better and easier contemplative experience (Temples of Art) The next events will be in Italy, In October, in Bergamo (Art exhibit of young artists within an Interstitialist setting) and in Milano (Yoga classes in art galleries). All the best
