This is actually concerned with school. I am required to write a 2000 word essay on the following question:

“Artistic movements offer a new ‘way of seeing’ or
perceiving the world.” Discuss this claim with reference
to expressionism


If anyone is able to pitch in some ideas, suggestions or tips that would be greatly appreciated. i am currently in the research phase.

Van Gogh, Ryder, Munch, Modersohn-Becker, and others developed personal versions of expressionism between the 1880's and the turn of the century. In my opinion each of these artists suffered both emotionally and mentally, and portrayed their feelings through their art.
