The live:: series brings live art into your everyday life. Come to the Model for lunch and watch as Sligo-based artist Peter Crann creates an image over 5 days.
Peter's main body of work is to be seen in Churches all over the South of Spain. He has acquired a taste for painting "live" as in the churches, while painting in situe, quite often a crowd would gather while painting and rather then find it off-putting he would say he found it was both inspiring and grounding. He works vigorously and the painting develops quickly.
Peter is also a musician and is aware of the immediate response from an audience on hearing live music, this "buzz" is missing from a lot of artists who have to wait months or years for a reaction from their audience.
The performance is an informal one so people can chat over a cup coffee or tea. Check this page regularly during the festival for the latest version of the image.
