:: David Preston Exhibition @ Alliance Francaise

David Preston is a reknowned Australian artist whose work has been exhibited world-wide. Responsible for establishing Etchers Press in Surry Hills in the 70's, David was closely associated with Brett Whitely, John Olsen, Judy Casab, among others.
In 2000 on a journey through France, David was invited to paint the view from Van Gogh's studio at the hospital in Saint Remy, Arles (see photo).
The stunning linocuts and oils created during his time in France are on display at Alliance Francaise until 6 August 2004. Read about David's 'Van Gogh Experience' on artsConnect.
