I am 16 and currently still in High school, I take 'Fine Art' as one chosen subjects, at the moment I am currently creating a piece of work on Paganism (religion). I'm not exactly an excellent artist but I have a good imagination the only thing is bringing it to life. Anyways, I've been doing research on the net and came across this picture:
To me this is really amazing; my question is how was this created? I wasn't too sure if it was a painting or made by some other modern way. I would predict that it is a painting because you can see a signature in the bottom-right corner (very faintly), if so then how was it made, what paints were used? I am interested in creating a piece similar to this, are there any good techniques that you could suggest? For example how would you create the green glowing effect around his left hand.
