Hi there! I purchased a lovely painting which I believe is out of graphite. The signature is "J Herr" (it's quite clear) and the picture depicts to Jewish men standing in front of a painting of a nude woman. One appears to be pulling the other away by his hand. Now, I went to google and searched. I believe I typed in something along the lines of "J Herr" and "artist" and clicked images. I found another of his works that was apparently auctioned off this year in January. Now, I'd love to find more information on him. It would be a lot easier if I knew his first name. That website only said that Herr was a "European artist of distinction" but failed to give me any more information (his first full name would've been helpful!). I'd really appreciate any replies. I'm in love with his work.

Hi there, You are describing a litho that I just purchased a couple of days ago. I've been trying to find information on the author as ell and have only a bit of info about the litho itself. On the back of mine it has a title - "Connoisseurs" and a notation - "Ltd. Ed. B&W Litho". If you find out anything - please pass it along.
