Was wondering whether anyone on this board could help me. I recently came across a painting that I believe may be relatively well known, however I did not find out the name of the artist and I have been unable to find out the name of the painting.
As someone who is not an art student, I am unaware of the particular style but it featured a shaded, barren landscape with mountains in the background and featured several geometric 'flying objects' closer to the viewer, again in a dark sky. The overall impression given by the painting was quite an ominous, sinister one.
I believe that the artist was British and that the image was painted in the 1920s or 1930s. I also believe that the painting may currently reside in the Glasgow Museum of Modern Art.
Apologies for the lack of specifics, but that's the main reason I've had so much difficulties in identifying it. Any ideas would be appreciated.
