Turner & Contemporary Artists

Hello,

I am writing in request for some guidance and advice.

A dissertation entitled:

"contrast Turner's treatment of landscape/seascape with a contemporary artist who uses mixed media"

I would appreciate any suggestions on who to use as the contemporary artist. I have been told to consider John Virtue but I am struggling to find examples of his work.
